We are pleased to announce, that the ISSF World Championship Shotgun will take place in Moscow Region, Russia, from August 30th till September 11th 2017.

Shooting is one of the oldest Olympic sports which has been included in the program of the 1st Olympic Games by Pierre de Coubertin, in 1896. Currently the shooting sport comprises 15 Olympic disciplines, 5 of which belong to Shotgun.

The 2017 ISSF World Championship in Moscow Region, will be held according to the new Rules, it will be the most significant shooting tournament of the season, a start of the new Olympic cycle and the beginning of the voyage to the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games. Medals in Mixed Team events will be decided during the World Championship for the first time. One of those events, Mixed Team Trap, is included in the program of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics by the International Olympic Committee.

The World shooting community and its fans will be able to watch the competitions of both experienced and up-and-coming young shooters. More than 700 athletes representing about 70 nations will struggle for the tournaments medals.

The Finals of the World Championship will be broadcasted live worldwide using the Eurovision signal.
